Wider-implications process was not applied
The wider implications process is not designed to deal with concerns raised by the parties to an individual complaint about:
- the procedures of the FSA, OFT or the ombudsman service or
- the fairness of an individual decision.
The ombudsman service, FSA and OFT have separate arrangements for dealing with such concerns.
Cases where the FSA, OFT and the ombudsman service have agreed that it would not be appropriate to apply the wider implications process include:
